Sol Senior Services Inc. · Last updated: September 25, 2026 · Effective Date: June 1, 2026
Sol Senior Services Inc. ("Sol," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our website, request a booking, or use our moving, packing, and cleanout services.
We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). By using our website or our services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
Sol Senior Services Inc. is a corporation operating in the Province of Manitoba, Canada. We provide moving, packing, and cleanout services to seniors and their families.
Our Privacy Officer is Andrew Parkes. You can reach them using the details in Section 13.
We collect personal information that you provide directly to us, information collected automatically through our website, and information from third parties as described below.
When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information through cookies and similar technologies, including:
We may receive information about you from:
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as health, financial account numbers, or government-issued ID numbers unless you choose to share it (for example, mentioning a mobility issue so we can plan the move appropriately). Please do not send us sensitive information you do not want us to have.
Under PIPEDA, we rely on your consent to collect, use, and disclose personal information. Consent may be:
You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide services to you. To withdraw consent, contact us using the details in Section 13.
We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies on our website. These technologies fall into the following categories:
Cookies that are required for the website to function. These cannot be disabled without breaking site functionality.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our website — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where they came from. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to collect this information. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We use Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) to measure ad performance and to show relevant ads to people who have previously visited our website, on other websites and apps. This is called remarketing. Third-party vendors, including Google and Meta, use cookies to serve these ads based on your prior visits to our site.
To manage your ad preferences:
Visitors who arrive at our website from a Google ad may see a Google forwarding phone number displayed in place of our main number. Google uses this number to record call details — such as the time, duration, and the caller's area code — to measure whether the ad led to a phone inquiry. The content of your call is not recorded by this service. If you are not visiting from an ad, you will always see and reach our main number, 204-808-0874.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block all cookies, parts of the website may not work properly.
We do not sell personal information. We share personal information only as described below:
We share personal information with third parties that help us run our business, under written agreements that require them to protect the information. These include: website hosting (Vercel), field service and invoicing software (Jobber), workflow automation (Zapier), email services, cloud storage, analytics providers (Google), advertising platforms (Google, Meta), payment processing, accountants and professional advisors, and insurance providers.
When someone submits a request or books a service through our website, we may share their email address and phone number with Google in a hashed (encrypted) form. Hashing converts the information into a scrambled code before it leaves our systems — Google uses it only to determine whether our ads led to that inquiry or booking, then discards it. We do not sell personal information, and this sharing does not allow Google to identify you to other advertisers.
We use Zapier to automate the transfer of this hashed information from Jobber (our customer management system) to Google Ads. Zapier acts as a connector and does not store or use this information for its own purposes.
We may share personal information with others (such as a family member, referral partner, or building manager) when you ask us to or otherwise consent.
We may disclose personal information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, protect the rights or safety of Sol, our clients, or our team, or investigate fraud.
If Sol is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected individuals where required by law.
We may send you commercial electronic messages only where we have your express or implied consent under CASL. Each marketing message will clearly identify Sol as the sender, include our contact information, and include a working unsubscribe mechanism.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at the address in Section 13. We will process unsubscribe requests within ten (10) business days.
Unsubscribing from marketing messages does not stop transactional messages about your booking or service.
Personal information may be stored or processed in Canada and in other countries (including the United States) where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps — including contractual safeguards — to ensure that service providers protect personal information at a level comparable to PIPEDA.
When personal information is no longer needed, we securely destroy, erase, or anonymize it.
We use reasonable physical, organizational, and technical safeguards including password-protected systems, HTTPS encryption, access controls, confidentiality obligations in employment agreements, and secure disposal of records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact Andrew Parkes using the details in Section 13. We will respond within 30 days.
Our services are intended for adults. Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
